The copper backplate was cut out using a hydraulic press, then textured with a hammer. A bail was soldered on and the enamel piece was attached to the backplate with micro screws. The enameled red bow started out as a hand cut piece of copper. Vitreous Enamel was sifted (pigmented powdered glass) onto the copper, heated with a torch or kiln to 1500 degrees farenheit until the glass melted and adhered to the copper.
